Señor Frog’s Closed. The Fiesta Lives On
The balloon hats and dancing servers at Treasure Island are gone for good, but that loud, tequila soaked, party till late energy is alive and well all over the Strip. Here is exactly where I send people now.
I get this question a lot, so let me save you the trip. Señor Frog’s inside Treasure Island closed for good at the end of 2024, and the space has been empty since. I know a lot of folks have great memories there, the balloon hats, the dancing servers, the drag brunch. If you show up at TI looking for it today, you will be disappointed.
The good news is you do not need that exact address to get that exact energy. As a lifelong Las Vegan, I can point you to a handful of spots with that same loud, tequila soaked, party till late vibe, most of them just a short walk up the Strip.
The Honest Update
Señor Frog’s at Treasure Island is permanently closed. The Las Vegas location shut its doors at the end of 2024 and did not reopen. If you had a birthday dinner, a bachelorette night, or that famous drag brunch on your list, pick one of the four alternatives below instead. Señor Frog’s is still a chain with other locations around the country and in Mexico, there is just no longer one here in Las Vegas.
4 Fun, Party Vibe Spots on the Strip
Tap any card for the full guide, hours, and what to order.
Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar
The closest thing to old Señor Frog’s energy. A big open patio, a serious tequila and mezcal list, and yes, a mechanical bull. Loud, colorful, and made for groups and birthdays.
Full guide →Cabo Wabo Cantina
Sammy Hagar’s cantina brings the Cabo San Lucas party straight to the Strip, with a balcony that looks right out over Las Vegas Boulevard. Oversized margaritas, tequila flights, live music energy.
Full guide →Nacho Daddy
Gooey gourmet nachos, giant margaritas, and the infamous Scorpion Shot, an actual scorpion in the glass, if your group is feeling brave. Bold and fun without being stuffy.
Full guide →Border Grill
A slightly more grown up pick from the Too Hot Tamales chefs. Modern, fresh Mexican with a fantastic weekend brunch and a patio near the Mandalay Bay pool. Festive without the mechanical bull chaos.
Full guide →Best Night
Weekend nights get busiest at all four. Go on a weeknight if you want a table without the wait, or lean into the weekend crowd if that is the whole point.
Book Ahead
Big group, birthday, or bachelorette party? Call ahead or book a reservation so you are not waiting outside on a busy Strip night.
Line Up a Ride
If you are 21-plus and planning to enjoy the tequila, arrange your ride home before the first round arrives, not after.
Book a Vegas Bar or Club Crawl
Let someone else handle the lines and the logistics for the night.
Las Vegas Nightclub VIP Entry with Party Bus
Skip the line at top Strip nightclubs with round-trip party bus transportation included.
Bar Crawl on Fremont Street in Las Vegas
A guided downtown bar crawl through the neon canopy on Fremont Street with a group of fellow crawlers.
Las Vegas VIP Club Crawl with Party Bus, Express Entry & Drinks
Express entry to multiple Strip nightclubs with drinks and party bus transport between stops included.
Las Vegas Club Crawl with Party Bus and Free Drinks
A party bus club crawl with free drinks along the way, built for a group that wants to hit more than one spot in a night.

Plan Your Party Night
Pick your energy level
Chayo and Cabo Wabo lean loud and wild, Border Grill leans a little more grown up, and Nacho Daddy sits somewhere fun in between.
Group of 6 or more, call ahead
All four get busy on weekend nights, and a quick call locks in a table so your group is not standing around waiting.
Confirm hours before you drive over
Vegas restaurants shuffle hours and menus often, so a quick check of the official site saves a wasted trip.
Keep an eye out for the new Vegas zoo
Just kidding, that is a different page. But do keep an eye on this one, if a true Señor Frog’s style spot opens back up, I will update it here first.
