Nobody has ever left disappointed, the room is relaxed, the menu has something for everyone, and if anyone brings a dog along, the patio and the dog menu make that easy too. It is one of the most dependable choices on my whole birthday dinner list.

The dining room has a warm, lodge-like feel, and the patio is genuinely dog-friendly, with its own dog menu if you want to bring your four-legged birthday guest. It sits inside Town Square, so there is plenty to do before or after dinner.

Hours: Monday through Friday 11am to midnight, Saturday and Sunday 9am to midnight, with weekend brunch from 9am to 2pm.
Reservations: Accepted through OpenTable and recommended for weekend evenings, though walk-ins are common for a casual weekday dinner.
