I have lived in Las Vegas since I was five, and Other Mama is one of those spots that never made it onto a tourist map but absolutely should be on your radar. It is tucked away near Durango and Spring Mountain, and the moment you walk in, it feels like a secret you are lucky to be in on. It is one of my favorite off-Strip picks for a birthday dinner that still feels like a night out.

The Vibe
Cozy, tucked-away, and full of regulars
Other Mama has a devoted local following, and you can feel it the second you sit down. The room is intimate, the lighting is low, and the whole space has a neighborhood-bar-meets-raw-bar energy that makes it feel like you found something the tourists have not.
What to Order
Oysters, creative sushi, and craft cocktails
Start with a round of oysters, then let the kitchen show off with its creative sushi rolls. Pair it all with something from the craft cocktail list, since the bar program here gets just as much attention as the seafood.
