LAVO Italian Restaurant & Lounge Las Vegas

A party in restaurant form, with a one-pound meatball to pass around the table and an easy path into a full club night after.

Turn Dinner Into a Club Night

LAVO is one of my favorite birthday recommendations when a group wants dinner that doesn’t wind down at dessert. It sits inside The Palazzo at The Venetian, and the energy in that room builds all night, music gets louder, the lounge fills in, and by the time the plates are cleared half the table is ready to keep the night going. If you want a restaurant that feels like the start of a big night rather than the end of one, this is it.

The Vibe

Coastal Italian, Strip Energy

Dining Room, Lounge, and a Terrace Over the Strip

LAVO bills itself as sophisticated Italian with coastal flair, and the space backs that up with an open dining room, a lounge area, and an outdoor terrace that looks right out over Las Vegas Boulevard. It works for a quiet-ish dinner earlier in the evening and turns into something louder and more social as the night goes on. It’s a favorite for birthdays, bachelorette groups, and anyone celebrating something worth staying out for.

What to Order

The Table Centerpiece

The One-Pound Meatball

This is the dish LAVO is known for, a single meatball big enough to pass around and share, served family-style right in the middle of the table. It’s practically a rite of passage if it’s your first visit, and it sets the tone for the rest of the meal, everything here is meant to be shared and passed around a full table.

If You Go for Brunch

Saturday and Sunday Endless Brunch

LAVO’s weekend brunch is its own event, with the Anson Mills polenta blueberry pancakes as the standout order alongside eggs Benedict and other brunch classics. It runs about $65 per person for the endless format according to the restaurant’s own site, so double check current pricing when you book since these things do change.

Before You Go

LAVO Italian Restaurant & Lounge

Location, Hours, and Reservations

Where: The Palazzo at The Venetian, 3325 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

Hours: Dinner nightly from 4pm to 10pm, with Endless Brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Hours can shift around holidays and events, so it’s worth checking before you go.

Dress code: Smart casual for dinner in the restaurant and lounge, nice jeans and a collared shirt are fine. If your night carries on into the LAVO nightclub upstairs, dress a little sharper since that side enforces a stricter dress code, no shorts, flip-flops, or plain sneakers.

Reservations: Strongly recommended, this is one of the busier restaurants on the Strip most nights. Book ahead through OpenTable or directly with the restaurant, especially for a birthday table.

This is one of my 39 favorite spots in my Las Vegas birthday dinner guide, and it’s the one I recommend most when someone tells me they want dinner and a night out, not just dinner.

Turn the Night Into a Club Night

Dinner at LAVO pairs perfectly with a night out at the clubs.
