I’ve lived in Las Vegas since I was five, and the Greek Food Festival is one of those events I plan my whole weekend around. It’s put on by the community at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, and it genuinely feels like stepping into a Greek village square for a few hours, the smell of roasting lamb, kids doing traditional folk dances, and grandmothers behind the pastry table who clearly know what they’re doing. It’s widely considered one of the best food festivals in Las Vegas, and I don’t disagree.

A Real Community Celebration, Not Just a Food Fair
This festival is run entirely by the parish of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, and that community feel comes through everywhere, from the volunteers cooking in the kitchen to the guided tours of the church itself. It’s family-friendly, walkable, and full of energy, with an outdoor agora (marketplace), a dance floor, and a lot of pride on display.
Gyros, Souvlaki, Baklava & Live Dancing
Expect a full menu of authentic Greek dishes, gyros, souvlaki, roasted lamb, saganaki, spanakopita, and trays of homemade baklava and other pastries. Live Greek musicians and traditional folk dance troupes perform throughout the weekend, with plenty of participatory dancing if you want to join in. There’s also a vendor marketplace, a raffle, guided tours of the church, and kid-friendly activities like a rock wall and train rides.

The 2026 Las Vegas Greek Food Festival runs Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. Hours are typically Friday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday noon to 10 p.m., though it’s always smart to confirm exact hours at lasvegasgreekfestival.com closer to the date.
