Taking a second year off, returning in 2027
I want to be straight with you here. Freakling Bros. is not running a Halloween season in 2026. Co-owner and creative director JT Mollner stepped away to direct a film, and the team made the call to pause a second year in a row rather than rush a new show. They’ve said they’ll be back in 2027, so if you’re planning this fall, look to my other haunted house picks for 2026 and put Freakling Bros. on your list for next year.
Locally made, and it shows in the best way
Freakling Bros. has been building haunted houses in the Las Vegas valley since the early 1990s, all handmade by a local crew rather than a franchised production. It has a reputation for genuinely intense, personal scares rather than jump-scare-on-a-loop production, which is a big reason locals keep coming back year after year.
Three shows planned for the 2027 relaunch
The lineup announced for the return includes The Nest, a brand-new haunt replacing the long-running Castle Vampyre, alongside two returning fan favorites: Gates of Hell, Nevada’s only R-rated haunted house, and COVEN of 13. Expect the intensity level to stay exactly where longtime fans expect it, genuinely scary, not a kid-friendly version of spooky.
Location and what to expect in a normal season
In active years, Freakling Bros. has operated out of the west valley near 8450 Spring Mountain Rd, running weekend and select weeknights through October. Gates of Hell is Nevada’s only rated-R haunted house, so it’s intense and not recommended for kids or anyone sensitive to graphic content. Check their official site and social pages closer to fall 2027 for exact dates, hours, and ticket pricing since those details shift year to year.
