I’ve lived in Las Vegas since I was five years old, and Age of Chivalry is one of those events that always catches newer residents off guard, in the best way. One weekend every October, Sunset Park turns into a full medieval village complete with armored knights jousting on horseback, turkey legs the size of your forearm, and shoppes selling handmade leather, chainmail, and pottery. It’s loud, it’s a little silly, and it’s genuinely impressive. It’s one of my favorite reminders that Las Vegas has a whole life outside the Strip.

A Medieval Village Takes Over Sunset Park
Age of Chivalry is one of the longest-running Renaissance festivals in Las Vegas, having grown into a multi-decade tradition at Sunset Park. For one weekend, the park fills with costumed performers, guild members, musicians, and hundreds of visitors in their own homemade garb. You don’t need a costume to fit in, but plenty of people wear one anyway.
Jousting, Artisan Shoppes & Turkey Legs
Armored jousting tournaments run multiple times a day, alongside live performances on several stages, sword-fighting demonstrations, and roaming characters in full character. More than 100 artisan vendors set up shoppes selling handmade leather goods, chainmail, pottery, and jewelry. Period food stalls serve the festival’s famous giant turkey legs along with other fair fare, and this year’s festival added a new guided pub crawl experience for the adults in the group.

Age of Chivalry returns to Sunset Park Friday through Sunday, October 9–11, 2026. The festival typically runs from mid-morning into the evening on Friday and Saturday, with an earlier close on Sunday, though exact gate times can shift year to year, so double-check the current hours at lvrenfair.com before you head out.

Sunset Park is at 2601 E Sunset Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89120, with free on-site parking and a large grass and shade-tree layout that makes it easy to spend a full afternoon. Single-day and multi-weekend passes are typically available, with discounted admission for kids and seniors, plus camping packages (tents, RV sites, yurts, and bell tents) for people who want to stay the whole weekend. Ticket pricing changes year to year, so check lvrenfair.com for current 2026 pricing. I’d wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, bring sunscreen and a water bottle, and pack a little cash for the smaller vendor shoppes.
