A permanent horror playground, not a pop-up tent

This isn’t a plywood-and-fog-machine lot haunt. Universal built out an entire dedicated zone inside AREA15 with four fully themed, cinematic walk-through mazes, a horror-themed bar, and scare actors working the halls between houses. It’s the kind of production quality you’d expect from Universal Studios, just permanently parked a few minutes from the Strip.

Four haunted houses, one wild night

You’ll walk through Universal Monsters, Scarecrow: The Reaping, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and The Exorcist: Believer, each one built around its own story and set design. In between, Jack’s Alley (themed to Jack the Clown) keeps the night going with drinks, food, and live entertainment, so it plays as much like a horror-themed night out as it does a haunted house.

The one haunt on this list that isn’t seasonal

Most Las Vegas haunted houses only open for a few weeks around Halloween. Horror Unleashed runs Wednesday through Sunday nights year-round, so it’s a reliable fall pick even if you’re visiting outside the last two weeks of October, and it still leans hard into the Halloween season with extra energy once fall arrives.

Universal Horror Unleashed is at 3051 S Rancho Dr, inside AREA15 (Las Vegas, NV 89102). It’s open Wednesday through Sunday evenings, roughly 4pm to 11pm, with last entry about two hours before close, and tickets are date and time specific, so book ahead. Pricing runs in tiers from a basic single-scare ticket up to unlimited all-house access. Check the official site for current hours and ticket pricing before you go. It’s recommended for ages 13 and up given the intensity, strobe lights, fog, and jump scares, and parking at AREA15 is free.
