STK Steakhouse at The Cosmopolitan: What to Know Before You Go
A DJ-lit steakhouse and lounge in one room, with a birthday cake milkshake that steals the show.
I have celebrated more than one birthday at STK, and it is exactly what happens when a steakhouse and a nightclub decide to share a room. The DJ is real, the lighting is moody, and by nine o’clock the whole place has a pulse to it. If you want dinner to feel like the start of a night out rather than the end of one, this is where I send people.

Steakhouse by Day, Nightclub by Night
STK sits right on the Strip inside The Cosmopolitan, and it never really tries to be a quiet, hushed steakhouse. There is an in-house DJ, low moody lighting, and a bar scene that gets louder as the night goes on. Book a later seating if you want that party energy carrying into the meal, or go earlier if you actually want to hear the person across the table.
The Cake Milkshake and the Steaks
Start with the lil’ BRG’s sliders or the tuna tartare, then let the kitchen do what it does best with premium cuts of beef. But if it is a birthday, the order is simple: the cake milkshake, which arrives topped with an actual slice of cake and sparklers on top. It is the kind of thing that gets the whole table’s phones out.

Where: Inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 11am to 11pm. Friday, 11am to 2:30pm and again 3pm to midnight. Saturday, 10am to 3:30pm and again 3pm to midnight. Sunday, 10am to 2:30pm and again 3pm to 11pm. Hours shift around brunch service on weekends, so it is worth double-checking before you head over.
Dress code: Business casual is the official word, though I have never seen it enforced too strictly. Nice jeans and real shoes will fit right in.
Reservations: Recommended, especially on weekends. Book online or call ahead, and if your group is 13 or more, ask about a private event booking.
