It runs the Saturday before Easter and it’s genuinely free, which makes it one of the best values in town. Tip: Hunts go by age group and the eggs disappear fast, so show up right at the start time and head straight to your child’s field.

City of Las Vegas Easter Eggstravaganza

The City of Las Vegas hosts hunts at rec centers and parks around town every spring, and the Summerlin one at Pavilion Center is a fun twist — a poolside hunt for kids about ages 3 to 12 with a small per-child registration fee. It’s low-cost and easy to build a morning around. Tip: Pull up the City of Las Vegas parks & rec calendar a few weeks ahead; the paid rec-center hunts often take pre-registration and cap the number of kids.

North Las Vegas Egg Hunts & Egg Golf Hunt

The City of North Las Vegas Parks & Recreation runs its own spring egg hunts, and the standout is the Easter Egg Golf Hunt at the Municipal Par 3 course — kids ages 5 and up hunt prize-filled eggs across the fairways and disc-golf course, while supplies last. It’s a fun change of pace from the usual field hunt. Tip: These “while supplies last” hunts reward early birds, so arrive at opening and check the North Las Vegas events page for the exact date.

Henderson Spring Carnival & Egg Hunt

The City of Henderson pairs its egg hunts with a full spring carnival at Whitney Ranch — think DJ, games, bounce houses, face painting, a photo booth, and refreshments across a few hours in the morning. There’s a modest admission fee, and it’s one of the more festival-like options in the valley. Tip: Advance registration is recommended and it can sell out, so book through the City of Henderson before the weekend rather than at the door.

Easter in the Park at Skye Canyon

The Skye Canyon community throws a wonderful free morning event with a big egg drop — thousands of eggs scattered across the park — plus photos with the Easter Bunny, bounce houses, lawn games, and food from local vendors. It’s free, but they ask you to RSVP to hold your spot. Tip: The egg drop happens at a set time, usually about half an hour after the event opens, so get there early and stake out the field with your kids.

Easter Egg Hunt at Lake Las Vegas

Out at the water in Henderson, Lake Las Vegas hosts a free egg hunt on the grass with live entertainment, free bunny photos, and — my kids’ favorite — puppy adoptions from local rescues. The setting alone is worth the short drive, and you can stroll the village and grab lunch afterward. Tip: Parking fills up, so come early, and make a half-day of it with a walk around the MonteLago Village promenade.

Easter at The District at Green Valley Ranch

The open-air District at Green Valley Ranch is a reliable spring stop. Most years they host a free egg hunt for the younger crowd along The Green, plus photos with Wendell the Bunny and hourly kids’ dance parties in the days leading up to Easter. It’s walkable, easy, and perfect to pair with lunch. Tip: Registration for the hunt usually opens the morning of, so arrive when it starts, and reserve a bunny photo slot if they offer one.

Hop & Shop at Town Square

Town Square’s outdoor center does a free Hop & Shop with hunts split into age categories — typically 1–3, 4–6, and 7–9 — so the littlest ones aren’t running with the big kids. There are Easter Bunny photos on-site too, and plenty of shopping and dining right there. Tip: Bring your own basket or container, and check for on-site registration when you arrive; the age groups run at staggered times.

“The Hunt” at AREA15

If you want something a little more offbeat, AREA15 runs a free, all-ages Easter experience called The Hunt over the holiday weekend, where finds unlock vouchers you can redeem for food, drinks, retail, or attraction experiences inside the complex. It’s a fun grown-ups-included spin on the usual egg hunt. Tip: The immersive district gets busy on weekends — go earlier in the day, and check what’s free versus what needs a ticket before you plan your visit.

Eco-Conscious Egg Hunt at Fergusons Downtown

Over in the Fremont East district, Fergusons Downtown does a free, family-friendly egg hunt with a sustainability twist, plus the local shops, art, and food that make this restored motor-court such a fun hang. It’s a nice pick if you like supporting small, local downtown businesses. Tip: Parking downtown is tight on event days, so plan a little extra time and check the Fergusons events page for the start time.

Boulder City Bunny Express

This is such a fun one for younger kids. The Nevada Southern Railway runs the Bunny Express on the first few Friday and Saturday evenings of April, with departures in the early evening. You get about a 30-minute train ride with story time, then hop off at the railyard event center for a photo with the Easter Bunny, games, and a BBQ meal you can add on. It’s a lovely little day trip out to historic Boulder City. Tip: These rides sell out early and seating classes vary in price, so buy in advance through the railroad museum and arrive about 30 minutes before departure.

Egg Dive at Heritage Park Aquatic Complex

Here’s a very Las Vegas take on the tradition: instead of hunting on grass, kids dive for eggs in the pool. Henderson’s Egg Dive at the Heritage Park Aquatic Complex is a low-cost, splash-filled afternoon for swimmers roughly age 2 and up, with sessions grouped by age. Tip: Kids need to be comfortable in the water, and spots are limited — register through the City of Henderson ahead of time and pack towels and a change of clothes.

Self-Guided Hunts at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve

If crowds and timed egg drops aren’t your thing, the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve runs low-key self-guided egg hunts over the Easter stretch for a small admission — you wander the ponds and trails at your own pace and spot eggs along the way. It’s peaceful, outdoorsy, and great for families who’d rather stroll than sprint. Tip: Go in the cooler morning hours, bring water, and confirm the dates and hours with the preserve before you drive out.

Easter Bunny Photos Around the Valley

In the couple of weeks before Easter, the Bunny sets up for photos at shopping centers across the valley — Galleria at Sunset in Henderson, Las Vegas South Premium Outlets, and The District at Green Valley Ranch among them. Many offer free walk-up photos where you snap your own on your phone. Tip: Photo hours and any paid packages vary by location, so check the center’s site, and go on a weekday morning to skip the weekend lines.

Treats with the Easter Bunny at Siegel’s Bagelmania

If you’d rather celebrate over a meal, Siegel’s Bagelmania hosts a free Treats with the Easter Bunny morning on the holiday, with a bunny visit and a family-friendly deli spread — a relaxed, no-fuss way to mark the day with little ones. Plenty of valley restaurants also do Easter brunch with bunny photos and small egg hunts for the kids. Tip: Holiday brunches book up fast, so reserve early wherever you land, and call ahead to confirm the bunny hours.
