The Las Vegas Haunts 2020, Asylum and Hotel Fear

Asylum and Hotel Fear Las Vegas takes everyone on a terrifying journey. Participants are going to learn about the story of the Meadview Asylum, which is run by Dr. Vander along with his son.

During their visit, attendees are going to have to navigate countless dark hallways, where patients have broken loose and taken over the entire facility.

Then, participants are going to go through a wide variety of scary rooms, haunted locations, and terrifying sections of this asylum.

Some of the locations that patrons are going to navigate include the morgue, therapy rooms, the nurse’s station, the admitting area, and even patient rooms. This is nothing like a normal hospital! Patrons are sure to leave with some vivid memories!

The Halloween at Freakmont Street Experience 2020

This is always one of the highlights of Las Vegas Halloween; however, some of the events have been canceled. At the same time, one show that is still going on is a Halloween inspired Viva Vision Light Shows. These light shows are going to play every night.

The light shows are usually set to some of the top music tied to Halloween such as Michael Jackson’s Thriller, the Ghostbusters theme, the Monster Mash song, Time Warp, and numerous teams from some of the top movies including Halloween, psycho, The Addams Family, and Nightmare on Elm Street.

For this reason, this is a show that everyone to take a few minutes to check out. Only lasting about 5 minutes, it is important for everyone to plan ahead to make sure they get a great seat.

The Sand Dollar Lounge Event

The popular Sand Dollar Lounge is going to be taking its bar and transforming it into something that has been specifically designed for Halloween. This year, the bar is going to be focused on spooky, creepy, and scary events.

Featuring drinks that have been specifically designed for Halloween and beers that hail from Oktoberfest, there are going to numerous theme nights that will take place as well. Therefore, anyone who is looking for a bar that is in the spirit of Halloween to check out this location. All customers and patrons are going to be encouraged to visit and dress up.

Visit Downtown Summerlin

A large section of Las Vegas is going to be dedicated to Halloween this year. The Summerlin area is going to be completely taken over by Halloween from September 27 to October 31.

During the entire month, there are going to be multiple events called DTS Halloween Spirit. The event is going to be put on by Spirit Halloween.

Some of the popular events that are going to take place this Halloween at Downtown Summerlin include costume contests, spooky house contests, scavenger hunts, pumpkin events, and more.

There are also going to be haunted attractions and even a pet costume contest. This is one area of Las Vegas that is going to go all out for this special holiday.

Events for Children on Halloween in Las Vegas for 2020

Even though many of the most popular events for children this Halloween, such as the Halloween Carnival and the Halloween reef at the Shark Reef Aquarium, have been canceled due to pandemic, there are still safe trick-or-treat options. One of them is called safe Street at Wet and Wild.

Safe Street at Wet n’ Wild in Las Vegas

Safe Street at Wet n’ Wild is inviting families and children to a secure trick or treat event this Halloween! This is a whole weekend that is going to be filled with events ranging from festive trick or treating options to candy stations and live entertainment.

Taking place Friday through Sunday with different events every night, there are going to be photo opportunities, costume contests, and more. Even though some of the events might have to be altered due to the pandemic, there are sure to be plenty of fun opportunities for children of all ages.

Movie in the Park in Ward 2

For those who are looking for a scary, kid-friendly movie event, Bruce Trent Park has the answer. Called Trunk or Treat, the local city is going to be putting on the movie Maleficent specifically for children. It is going to take place at Bruce Trent Park.

Admission is free and open to the public. Furthermore, there are going to be plenty of children’s activities with costume contests, face painting, and more! There are also going to be food trucks available serving a wide variety of refreshments. This park has lawn seating, so be sure to bring a few blankets or some low chairs.

Bruce Trent Park is located at 8551 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, NV.

The show takes place Friday, October 9, from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.

The Movie in the Park in Ward 4

There is another movie in the park taking place this Halloween as well. This time, the movie is going to take place at the Trigono Hills Park at West Gilmore. The park is going to be showing a Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus, which is a favorite among people of all ages. Furthermore, this movie is also free as well as open to the public.

The Halloween at the Y Family Event

Another fun Halloween event for children this year is going to take place at the Durango Hills Community Center YMCA. There is going to be a drive-thru trick or treat event taking place, so be sure to dress up in costumes. There is going to be free candy available; however, this is only going to be available as long as supplies last.

The Drive Through Halloween Event at Ward 3

Ward 3 is also going to have a fun event this Halloween. There is going to be a drive-through trunk or treat event at Baker Park. For a fun, socially-distant celebration that is fun for the entire family, there are going to be enjoyable attractions as families navigate their way through the park. Make sure to wear a costume and get ready for some treats along the way! This event is being sponsored by the local city of Las Vegas City Council.

The Halloween Spooktacular at Floyd Lamb Park

There is another fun Halloween celebration that is taking place for parents and children. Floyd Lamb Park which is located at Tule Springs is going to be holding a Spooktacular celebration.

The celebration is going to take place in the back section of the park.

The event is going to feature plenty of Halloween decor, pumpkin activities, spooky music, and numerous treats.

Zombie Burlesque in Las Vegas

The Zombie Burlesque show takes place in Las Vegas back in the 1950s. It is set during the atomic era when a zombie pandemic suddenly plows through the streets of the local area.

The living audience is going to be subjected to a variety of zany burlesque musical numbers. This will include top-notch acts and performed by some of the scariest, sexiest zombies the region has to offer. Hosted by The Learning Experience, there is a free drive-thru event taking place called the Bubbles Mobile Halloween Parade. Visitors are invited to participate in an event that is safe even with the pandemic.

Social distancing is going to be enforced and this is an opportunity to spot some of the best spooky goblins, Ghouls, and ghosts that Las Vegas has to offer. Targeted towards children, teachers are going to be present handing out treats for children.

The Trapped Drive Thru Haunted Experience

Another top event that is going to take place in Las Vegas this year is called the Trapped Drive-Through Haunted Experience. This is an innovative thrill ride that is designed to scare everyone.

This is an experience that has been tailored for this socially distant era. Visitors are going to drive through a maze from the comfort of their own vehicle. There is going to be a maze of action that takes place all around the vehicle.
