Inside Desert Trails
A small, gated enclave of custom homes inside The Trails village of Summerlin North, where no two homes are quite alike and every lot runs a quarter acre.
What Desert Trails Is Actually Like
The short version, then the details.
Desert Trails is a small, electronically gated enclave of custom homes inside The Trails village of Summerlin North, one of the more exclusive pockets in that part of the valley.
There are only 56 homes in Desert Trails, all on quarter acre lots, and because they’re largely custom built, no two look quite the same. That’s a real departure from the repeated floor plans you’ll see in most of Summerlin.
I’ve lived in Las Vegas since I was five and watched Summerlin grow from open desert into one of the valley’s most established master plans since the Howard Hughes Corporation broke ground in 1990. Desert Trails is one of the smaller, quieter corners of that much bigger story.
Access is through Summerlin Parkway, then north on Rampart and Hillpointe, which keeps it close to Downtown Summerlin without sitting right on top of the traffic.

Worth knowing: with only 56 homes, listings here are genuinely rare. If Desert Trails is on your list, I’d set up an alert rather than waiting to check back.
The Homes
Custom built, quarter acre, and genuinely rare on the market.
Because Desert Trails is such a small enclave of custom homes, there’s real variety from one property to the next, more than you’d find in a typical production built neighborhood.
Homes range from roughly 2,700 to 5,600 square feet, generally 3 to 5 bedrooms with 2 to 3 car garages, all behind a single electronic gated entrance.
With only 56 homes in the entire enclave, seeing what’s currently listed is the fastest way to know if anything is available.

None of that makes one better. It makes them different, and I’m happy to walk you through more than one so you can judge in person rather than from photos.
Desert Trails is one of those pockets where I tell buyers to set an alert, not wait and check back. Fifty six homes doesn’t turn over often.

I’ve lived in Las Vegas since I was five years old. I’ve watched this valley grow from a small town into what it is now, and I’ve built my career in real estate here. If you’re thinking about a move, I’d love to talk it through with you.
