When you move here, you’ll set up power, water, gas (if your home has it), trash, and internet. Electricity, gas, and trash are the same companies almost everywhere in the valley. Water is billed by your city or the water district, so that’s the one to double-check for your address.

Tip: internet installs book out further than any other utility. If you work from home, set this one up the moment you have a closing or move-in date.

Who provides electricity in Las Vegas?
NV Energy is the electric provider for the entire Las Vegas Valley, including North Las Vegas and Henderson. There’s no choosing between companies for power here, so you’ll set up your account directly with them at 702-402-5555.
Do I set up water with the city or a water district?
It depends on where you live. In the city of Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County, water is the Las Vegas Valley Water District. In North Las Vegas and Henderson, water and sewer are billed through the city. Use the numbers in the Water by City section for your address.
