CCSD Year-Round School Tracks: What Happened to the Track Schedule

Hi, I’m Lori Ballen. I’ve lived in Las Vegas since I was five, and relocating families keep asking me the same thing: where is the Clark County year-round school track schedule chart? Here is the honest, current answer, because it has changed.

The short version: The Clark County School District (CCSD) no longer runs year-round, multi-track schools. Every CCSD school now follows one standard nine-month calendar, so there is no current track schedule chart to download.
What the year-round tracks used to mean
Some Clark County elementary schools once ran a year-round, multi-track calendar to ease crowding. Students were split into groups, often Track 1 through Track 4 or named by color. While one track was on track and in class, another was off track on break, and the groups rotated through the year, so more kids shared one building without everyone being there at once.

Why CCSD phased them out
CCSD steadily reduced the number of year-round schools, then moved its remaining year-round elementary schools onto the standard nine-month calendar. Since that change, all CCSD schools share one calendar, so the old track charts, including the one this page used to offer, no longer apply. I took the old chart down rather than leave outdated dates up.

For the real start dates, breaks, and holidays, go straight to the official source. CCSD posts the current and upcoming student and staff calendars, updated each year, at ccsd.net/calendars. If you are choosing a home around a specific school, confirm that school’s exact attendance zone with CCSD too, since boundaries can change.
